The preliminary results showed that aloe vera tooth gel and the toothpastes were equally effective against

- Streptococcus mutans,
- Lactobacillus acidophilus,
- Enterococcus faecalis ,
- Prevotella intermedia and
- Peptostreptococcus anaerobius.
